Similarities

There were some similarities towards the book and the movie “Summer of the monkeys.” I liked that grandpa had a store. I liked that part because it was one of the main parts in the book. Also a real main thing was the problem with Daisy’s leg. I liked that Jay Berry still gave his money for Daisy. Also Daisy, Mom, Jay and Rowdy had the same names in both the book and the movie. Another real topic was the fairy ring,even though in the movie they called it an angel ring.  

Differences

There were a lot of differences between the movie and the book. In the book there was about thirty monkeys and in the movie there was only four. Another problem was that Rowdy was not a Bluetick hound. The book said that  the dads name was Bob,but in the movie it says his name is John. In the book Daisy had a crutch, in the movie she had a boot. The monkeys names were not the same and the circus they came from was a french circus. There was not Bayliss hatcher in the book whatsoever.  

Enjoyed/Disliked

A lot of the things I enjoyed were something from the book, but not all. One of my favorites from the movie was when Jay Berry and the 3 boys were fighting. However, I did not like the other boy hitting Rowdy. A note to the director, you should not add stuff that was not in the book. Grandma wasn’t in the movie and grandpa barely played a part in the movie. In the book one of the main things Jay Berry was trying to do was capture the monkeys,in the movie he didn’t try new things. One last problem was that the girl Rose from the library replaced Patricia.
